교재를 사는 쪽에 앉아 본 사람이, 교재를 파는 쪽을 돕습니다. 창업자는 지금도 전공책을 사는 대학생입니다. 경제학을 공부하며 수많은 그래프와 수식을 만났고, 멈춰 있는 그래프가 이해를 막다가도 움직이는 순간 막힌 곳이 풀린다는 것을 직접 겪었습니다. 학생이 스캔본을 고르는 순간과 기꺼이 정품을 사는 순간이 어디서 갈리는지 — 그 자리에서 상품을 설계합니다.

Someone who has sat on the buying side of textbooks, helping the selling side. The founder still buys course books as a university student. Studying economics meant meeting graph after graph and equation after equation — and learning first-hand that a static graph can block understanding, while the same graph in motion can clear the way. Where a student settles for a scan, and where the same student gladly buys the original — that is where we design the product.

창업자는 학습과 인지에 대한 관심을 바탕으로 연세대학교에서 인지과학을 공부해 왔습니다. 『친절한 논리학 입문서』의 저자이자, 수학을 애니메이션으로 설명하는 유튜브 채널 Another Angle의 영상 제작자이기도 합니다.

Drawn to how people learn and understand, the founder studied cognitive science at Yonsei University. He is the author of A Friendly Introduction to Logic and the creator of Another Angle, a YouTube channel that explains mathematics through animation.

학습자로서 직접 공부하는 동시에 교재를 집필하고 교육 영상을 제작해 온 경험은 리니어스튜디오의 중요한 출발점입니다. 학습자가 어디에서 어려움을 느끼는지, 어떤 설명과 시각 자료가 이해를 돕는지를 학습자의 관점에서 고민하며 지식을 효과적으로 전달하는 콘텐츠를 만들어 왔습니다.

Studying as a learner while writing a textbook and producing educational videos is where linear studio began. That work meant asking, from the learner's side, where understanding breaks down and which explanations and visuals help, and building content that carries knowledge across.

이러한 경험을 바탕으로 리니어스튜디오는 저자의 지식과 출판사의 콘텐츠가 독자에게 더욱 효과적으로 전달될 수 있는 방법을 연구합니다. 그 결과 기존 도서를 인터랙티브 전자책으로 제작하는 자체 엔진과 열람 앱을 개발했으며, 관련 제작 기술에 관한 특허를 출원했습니다.

On that basis, linear studio researches how an author's knowledge and a publisher's content can reach readers more effectively. The result is our own engine for turning existing books into interactive e-books, a reader app to open them, and a patent application for the production method.
